Tamatar ko English mein “Tomato” kehte hain. Tamatar ek aisi sabzi hai jo taqreeban har ghar mein istemal hoti hai. Yeh sirf khane mein hi lazeez nahin hote balkay sehat ke liye bhi bohat mufeed hote hain.

1. Tamatar Ke Achi Quality Ke Beej (Seeds)

Tamatar ugane ke liye sab se pehle aap ke paas achhi quality ke tamatar ke beej hone chahiye. Aap kisi bhi nursery se tamatar ke beej khareed sakte hain. Beej bohat zyada purane aur kharab na hon.

2. Tamatar Ki Paneeri Tayyar Karna

Tamatar ke beej ko direct zameen mein bone ki bajaye, pehle chotay chotay ghamlon mein ya “Seed Trays” mein poday tayyar karna behtar hota hai.

Seed tray ya ghamlon mein achhi quality ki mitti bharein. Seed tray ke har khane mein ya ghamlay mein 2 se 3 beej lagayein aur halki halki mitti se dhak dein.

Is ke baad is ke oper pani ka halka halka chhirkao kar den taakeh mitti num rahe. Tray ya ghamlon ko kisi aisi jagah par rakhein jahan roshni bhi ho aur garmi bhi ho.

Kuch dinon mein har beej se ek poda nikal aye ga. Is tarah tamatar ke poday tayyar ho jayen gay. Aap in podon ko tamatar ki paneeri bhi keh sakte hain.

3. Tamatar Ki Paneeri Lagane Ke Liye Zameen

Jab yeh poday 4 se 6 inch ke ho jayein aur har poday par 2 se 3 pattay bhi nikal aayein to phir in podon ko bari kyari ya baray ghamlon mein lagana hota hai.

Tamatar ke podon ke liye dhoop wali jagah ko select karein jahan kam az kam 6 se 8 ghantay ki dhoop aati ho.

Zameen ko achhi tarah se khod kar narm karein aur weeds (jari-booti) waghera ko nikaal dein. Mitti ki zarkhezi mein izafa karne ke liye mitti mein gobar ki khaad ko milayein.

Kyari mein podon ko lagate waqt un ke darmiyan kam az kam 2 se 3 feet ka fasla rakhein. Agar ghamlon mein laga rahe hain to har poday ke liye kam az kam 12 se 14 inch ka ghamla istemal karein.

4. Podon Ko Ek Jagah Se Doosri Jagah Par Lagana

Ab ehtiyat se podon ko chotay ghamlon ya tray se bahir nikaalein. Lekin in ki jarhein (roots) na tootein. Is ke baad tayyar ki hui kyari ya ghamlon mein chotay chotay garhe (گڑھے) khod kar podon ko un mein lagayein. Podon ko lagane ke baad in ko halka halka sa pani dein.

Tamatar ke podon ko rozana pani ki zaroorat hoti hai. Khaas tor par garmiyon ke mosam mein. Mitti ko hamesha num rakhein lekin bohat zyada pani na dein jis se jarhein sar jayein. Subah ya sham ke waqt pani dena behtar hota hai.

2. Khaad Kab Deni Hai?

Podon ki achhi growth aur phal ke liye har 2 se 3 hafton ke baad organic khaad dein. Aap liquid fertilizer bhi istemal kar sakte hain.

3. Podon Ko Sahara (Support) Dena

Jab poday barhne lagein to un ko sahara dene ki zaroorat hoti hai taakeh woh phal ke bojh se toot na jayein. Aap podon ko sahara dene ke liye lakri ki chhariyaan (stakes) istemal kar sakte hain.

4. Fazool Pattiyon Ki Katai Karna

Poday ke nichle hissay mein nikalne wali fazool pattiyon aur shaakhon ko kaat dena chahiye. Is se hawa ka guzar behtar hota hai aur bemariyon ka khatra kam hota hai.

5. Keeron Aur Bemariyon Se Bachao

Tamatar ke podon par keeron aur bemariyon ke hamle ka dar hota hai. Agar aap ko koi masla nazar aaye to neem oil ya kisi aur organic pesticide ka istemal karein.

Tamataron Ke Pakne Aur Torne Ka Waqt

Tamataron ko pakne mein taqreeban 2 se 3 mahinay tak lag sakte hain. Yeh beej ki qism aur mosam par bhi munhasir (منحصر) hota hai. Jab tamataron ka rang gehra ho jaye aur woh halkay se dabane par narm mehsoos hon to tamatar torne ke liye tayyar hote hain.
