Elaichi ko "Queen of Spices" bhi kaha jata hai. Elaichi
har Pakistani aur Indian kitchen ka taqreeban lazmi hissa hoti hai. Elaichi ki
khushboo aur zaiqa chai se lekar biryani tak har cheez mein ek anokha lutf
paida karta hai.
Lekin kya aap jante hain ke aap is khushboo-dar masale ko
ghar mein bhi aasani se uga sakte hain?

Elaichi Ke Poday Ke Liye Munasib Mahol
Elaichi ka poda, haqeeqat mein, ghane junglon mein ugne wala
ek poda hai. Is liye is ko apni nashonuma ke liye ek khaas mahol ki zaroorat
hoti hai.
1. Elaichi Ka Poda Tez Dhoop Ko Pasand Nahin Karta
Elaichi ka poda direct aur tez dhoop ko pasand nahin karta.
Is ke liye subah ki narm dhoop ya phir filter ki hui dhoop behtar hoti hai. Aap
elaichi ke poday ko kisi baray darakht ke saaye ke neeche ya ghar ke us hisse
mein uga sakte hain jahan direct dhoop na aati ho.
2. Khaas Tarah Ki Mitti Ki Zaroorat Hoti Hai
Elaichi ke poday ke liye aisi mitti ki zaroorat hoti hai jo
nami ko barqarar rakhe lekin pani ko jama na hone de. Is ke liye loamy mitti
(Loam Soil) behtareen hoti hai. Yeh ek khaas mitti hoti hai jis ko Compost aur Perlite
ya rait mila kar banaya jata hai.
3. Elaichi Ke Poday Ko Pani Rozana Dena Hota Hai
Elaichi ke poday ko rozana pani dena hota hai. Mitti ko har
waqt thora nam (moist) rakhna zaroori hota hai. Lekin, zyada pani bhi nahin
dena. Kyun keh yeh poday ke liye nuqsan-deh ho sakta hai aur us ki jarren gal
sakti hain.
4. Munasib Darja-Hararat (Temperature)
Elaichi ka poda garmi pasand poda hai. Yeh garm mosam ko
pasand karta hai. Is ke liye 18 se 35 degrees Celsius ka darja-hararat munasib hota
hai.
Note: Agar poda gamlay mein ugaya hua ho to tez sardi ke
mosam mein is ko andar rakhna behtar hota hai.
Elaichi Ka Poda Ugane Ka Mukammal Tarika
Elaichi ke poday ko beej (seed) se ugaya ja sakta hai. Lekin
yeh ek lamba aur mushkil kaam hota hai. Elaichi ke poday ko ugane ka sab se aasan
aur tez tarika hai is ko “Rhizome” se ya chote podon se ugana.
Rhizome Kya Hota Hai?
Rhizome ek tarah ka poday ka tana (stem) hi hota hai jo
zameen ke andar hota hai. Yeh zameen ke neeche horizontal tareeqe se barhta
hai. Ye bilkul jarr (root) jaisa dikhai deta hai lekin asal mein yeh tana hota
hai. Is se ek naya poda tayar kiya ja sakta hai.
Rhizome Se Elaichi Ka Poda Ugane Ka Tarika
1. Elaichi Ka Rhizome Hasil Karna
Sab se pehle aap ko elaichi ka rhizome hasil karna ho ga. Aap
kisi nursery se ya Elaichi ugane wale kisi kisaan se sehatmand elaichi ka rhizome
hasil kar sakte hain. Is baat ka khayal rakhna hai keh rhizome par kam-az-kam
ek aankh (bud) zaroor mojood ho.
2. Ghamla Tayyar Karna
Ek aise ghamle ka intekhab karein jis ke neeche drainage ke
liye sorakh hon. Ghamle ko oper batayi gayi mitti se bhar dein.
3. Rhizome Ko Mitti Mein Lagana
Rhizome ko mitti mein is tarah se lagana hai keh aankh ya bud
oper ki taraf ko ho. Rhizome ko mitti mein zyada gehra nahin dabana. Is ko bas thori
thori mitti se dhak dena hai.
4. Rhizome Ko Pani Dena
Rhizome ko mitti mein lagane ke baad pani dena hai aur gamle
ko aisi jagah par rakh dena hai jahan tez dhoop na aati ho. Rhizome mein se naya
poda nikalne mein kuch hafte lag sakte hain.
Elaichi Ke Poday Ki Zaroori Dekh-Bhaal
1. Pani Dena
Mitti ko hamesha nam rakhna hai. Lekin pani ko mitti mein jama
nahin hone dena.
2. Khaad
Elaichi ke poday ki achi nashonuma ke liye har 2 se 3 mahine baad
organic khaad ka istemal karen. Jaisa keh “Vermicompost” ya “Cow Dung Manure”.
3. Keeron Se Bachao
Elaichi ke poday par chote keeray hamla kar sakte hain. In se
bachao ke liye “Neem Oil Spray” ka istemal karen.
Elaichi Ke Poday Par Pehla Phal Kab Lagta Hai?
Elaichi ka poda lagane ke baad pehla phal lagne mein 2 se 3
saal lag sakte hain. Jab poda achi tarah se nashonuma pa le aur us ki lambai 4
se 6 feet ho jaye to is par phool aana shuru ho jate hain.
Yeh phool chote chote hote hain. In phoolon se hi baad mein sabaz
elaichiyan banti hain.
Elaichi Ke Phal Ko Kab Tor Lena Chahiye?
Elachi ke phal ko tab tor lena chahiye jab woh poori tarah se
pak jaye. Jab elaichi ki phaliyan sookh kar bhooray (brown) rang ki hone lag
jayein aur un mein se tez khushboo aane lage to samajh lein ke yeh poori tarah
se pak chuki hain.
Torne ke baad, elaichi ki phaliyon ko dhoop mein achi tarah se
sukha lein taa ke in ko lambe arse tak store kiya jaa sake.
Note: Elaichi ka poda lagane ke liye sab se acha waqt monsoon ka mosam hota hai. Yeh wo waqt hota hai jab hawa mein nami hoti hai aur mosam ka darja hararat (temperature) bhi elaichi ke poday ki growth ke liye behtar hota hai.
